seeking the "gilli" clan

Seeking all cousins. . . . . . race or what side of the "master's" family is not important.

I am a descendant of the Culpepper County , Virginia clan. My great grandparents were Horace Wayland Gillison and his wife Katy Some secret that I have not been able to crack revolves around Horace's birth. It is rumored that his father was either the Irish slave master or a man named Bowles (of african american descent). Unfortunately Bowles had the distinction of being the last man executed by offical State Hanging for violating Jim Crow Laws. I hope all of us honored him by voting this election year. Anyway I am interested in anyone who can help solve this mystery and tell me where I am from. I have 300+ relatives on the east coast of the United States that I am pretty sure are directly related to me. Because of our arrogance we chose to believe that we are "rare air" and are quick to claim anybody who spells their last name the same way as being related. Respond quickly, I am eager to add to the family tree
