Hello, My name is Carrie Gillis and I'm searching for any information of geneology in connection with Mary Effie Gillis of Lewis Bay West Cape Breton.
She is the birth mother of Frank Davis Gillis(my father)born May16,1946 at the Grace Maternity Hospital in Halifax,NS.
He was adopted at two weeks old from here by Harry and Erma(Swift) Outhouse possibly through the social services.
Mary's wishes were for him to keep his family birth name which he did.
It is believed that the families of the McCormacks(? not sure of spelling)and Rankins may have relative ties.
Would be thankful for any info.
