I am chasing a thought that Janet (Fotheringham) Gillis, wife if Archibald Gillis posted in Halifax with a British Regiment, may have died in Halifax between 1808 when their last recorded child was born and 1817 when he took over a land grant in Dalhousie, Annapolis with 3 children but no wife on record. She may have been known as Janet, Jennett or Jean.
How would I find these records?
