Glinda,

Norman Gillis b. 1849 was my 2nd great uncle. My ggreatgrandfather was Henry A. Gillis b. 1846. Here is their line:

1.Owen Gillis and Polly Young- NC
known children: Owen Gillis b. abt 1795

2. Owen Gillis and Rebecca Chambers b.1806 (Carroll Co, TN) I found Owen on the 1820 census of Carroll County, TN.
children:
1. Henry A. Gillis b. 1846 (d.1924) married Lucretia Harris (both are buried at Cumby,TX)
2.Norman Gillis b. 1849 married Victoria Branum b.1854 *Norman was killed in a hunting accident.
3.Owen Gillis b. 1859 d. 1941 (buried at Cumby, TX)
