I'd love to know why folks would look at you when Bossy's name was mentioned. Any ideas if he was a character? With the public life of Mayor, it ought to be easy to get an old news photo/stories.... I think he's my cousin.
From papers passed down through the family, I have:
James Finlay Gillis 1810-1885 m Ann MacIntyre, lived at PEI
Their #4 child is Andrew A 1854-1919 m Hannah Creegan. Their only known son Andrew Joseph aka BOSSY was in Mass. m Louise Barbaro, then Marguerite Corbett.
If anyone is aware of Bossy having children or brothers or sisters, please advise. I fear he may have been the last of his line.
