Looking for information on one Mandel GILLIS who supposedly married my great grandmother, Rhobie Emily LAWRENCE ROMIG on 14 Feb 1905 in ? Florida. He was born 06 January 1870 in the Tampa area of Florida and she was born 12 December 1873 in Sodus, Berrien County, Michigan. She was a stage actress who had previously been married to a ? ROMIG and had a son, Walter born29 December 1903 in New York City, New York. She always said she was married to a Romig, a Georgia Cracker and the Irish guy who was Arthur John MURPHY. Romig was killed in a freak gun accident in 1903 and she had twins by A. J. Murphy August 1910 so we are ssuming the Mandel Gillis was dead [or she divorced him] by 1909. any help greatly appreciated on anyone in the this famiy . thanks
