John b. 1779 m. Marion Cochrane, I have many descendants there. Son John C Gillies immigrated to IL in 1848 and I have many branches down from there.Children from 1779 John above were James 1808, Mary 1810, Ann 1815, Thomas 1817, Elizabeth 1818, John C 1820, Alexander 1825. I believe Ann may have come to U S or Canada.
