Pitner of 701 Keith, I forgot to mention you will need to add more for postage for that book from Mull. I found it useful to sort out the Gillies in Kilninian parish. Could Alexander Gillies be your Allister. He is mentioned as married to a Mary MacDonald. There is a good map of Mull as well as about a page on the name MacDonald. Have you looked at the OPR's at the FHC?
