this is certainly a possibility. Donald married Nancy Graham in 1831 in North Knapdale and their first child, Joanna, was born in 1832 in Ontario. The first son was Archibald and the second was John however there are three years between Archibald and John and if Archibald was born even a year later then there could have been another John born who died after Archibald's morth and before the John that I know of.
I am not 100% confident in the birth dates (years only) which I have.
Unfortunately my downloaded copy of the OPR registor page is corrupted so I can't recheck that at the moment.
