I am looking for information on my g-grandmother Jessie Campbell and g-grandfather Neil Gillies, married in the mid 1800's. Family legend has it that Jessie and her family were immigrating to Canada as they were 'horse-thieves' and were escaping the consequences. Neil and family were escaping religious difficulties. They met on the boat and moved to Michigan from Canada. From Michigan, they ended up in Butte Montana. Any info anyone might have is appreciated.
