Angus Gillies born 1861 Isle of Mull

Hello list,

I am seeking information on Angus Gillies born 1861 on the Isle of Mull. Angus' parents were Alexander Gillies and Mary MacDonald. Angus was last heard from in 1889 in a letter to his sister Flora. At the time he was living with or working for a Beekman family in Oyster Bay, New York. I cannot to seem to find him after that. He may have returned to Scotland or may have gone to Michigan or Canada. I am not sure if he ever married. I have information on the rest of the Gillies family. His siblings were; Margaret (Peggy)married Cleland, Flora married (Barr), Coll married (MacTavish), John, Alexander and Mary who died as a baby.

Any information on Angus would be appreciated. I will share what information I have.
