Hello Carmel,
I have a personal interest in the history of East Gippsland and I think we are both following the same family tree but for different reasons.
The questions, I am seeking answers for are:
Would you know if a Simon Gillies, who took up the lease of "Mharloon" in 1866 is at all related to the Archibald Gillies who sailed on the "Bussorah Merchant".
When and why did the Gillies first move to Gelantipy?
