I am trying to find birthplace and family of John Gillies born 1819-20 in Scotland. He emigrated to Nova Scotia Canada between then and 1840. He was a shoemaker by trade and was Presbyterian. I assume he travelled with other family members - so far no luck in tracking him. I would greatly appreciate any possible links. Thank you.
