This is a long shot. My Gillies forebears emigrated from Lochcarron, Ross-shire to Geelong, Australia in 1854. Prior to 1830 they lived on the coast, at Applecross, Ross-shire.

I have been told that gg grandfather's brother emigrated to Canada. It would be interesting to make contact with descendants.
