Seeking information on the Harris Gilliam who married Elizabeth Cochran in Independence County, AR. I was tracking a Harris Gilliam in Independence County, AR and am beginning to believe there was more than one. I makes searching more difficult. The Harris Gilliam I was tracing was living with Lucinda Gilliam on 1850 Pope and Van Buren, AR census records. I cannot find him on 1860 census or after. I originally thought he must be the Harris who married Elizabeth Cochran, but I see others posting that Harris Gilliam's parents as Braddock and Mahala Gilliam. If this is so, it doesn't make much sense for my Harris to be living with Lucinda Gilliam who APPEARS to be a parent by ages. Any further information to untangle the ties would be welcome. I do believe that my Harris is the one who married Cynthia/Cyntha Rackley in 1850, since she was found next door to Lucinda Gilliam on the 1860 census of Independence County with several Gilliam children.
