Hi Vikky,
Do you know when Martha Taylor Gilliam married John Wilburn? In Ralph Magee's will of 1770, Sussex Co VA, he "give & bequeath to my son William Megee providing he should not marry Martha Gilliam widow of Charles Gilliam decd...".I have no idea if this is the same Martha and don't know which Charles.Just wondered what he had against Martha/Charles, since his daughter Sarah had married Edmund Gilliam and his son Drury had married Fortune Gilliam. Both of these Gilliams said to be children of Charles Gilliam and Mary. His will was witnessed by John Dunn, Hinchea Gilliam and Lewis Dunn.William was born December, 1752.
This is not my direct line, just wondering. Florence
