Greetings to Gillham/Gilham researchers
The outlook for the holidays here has brightened since my mom underwent successful major surgery Wednesday morning. Our family has had a number of gloomy Christmas to New Year holiday seasons with sicknesses and deaths occuring during that period. We were hoping and praying that this wouldn't be another one.
To those of you who were aware of her illness and offered prayers for her, we appreciate your kindness.
To everyone who reads this, here's my best to you and yours for the season and the new millenium. Here's hoping that collectively, we will be able to pool our resources and learn more about our earlier generations of ancestors.
To anyone who hasn't communicated with me in the past, this is my request to you to contact me and share your Gillham and Gilham information with me, expecially if you happen to be a descendant of Thomas Gillham, Sr., who was born in England or Ireland around 1710 and died around 1785/1800 in South Carolina.
Beside needing more on Thomas, his date and place of birth and death, his siblings andhis parents. I'd like to find folks who may have more information about Charles (2) who married Elizabeth Kinkead and Elizabeth Carlisle and his children.
Again, from me to you, the best of the season. Happy hunting.
Herb Gillham
