Hi Brandy:
Yes, I remember you and your folks. At the last reunion I attended when your folks were there, I asked your mom to see if she could get some updates on your family for me, but, unfortunately, as often happens, it didn't materialize.
As you are probably aware, the Hot Springs Reunion has disbanded (except for one that C.W.'s clan may hold). We still have one in Springfield, MO, the Sunday after labor day, but if you'd like to share some family information with me, I'd be more than happy to add it to my database, and, if you do't mind popping about $30 for a copy of the Family Tree Maker program (Version 8.0), and will send me $10, I'll be happy to burn a copy of my genealogy database and send it, along with instructions as to how to convert it from a read only file to an updateable database.
I don't want to make a profit, just that the $10 helps cover the cost of the cd, mailing and postage. I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed in it.
Let me know if you'd be interested.
Sit down with your mom and dad, especially your dad, and start with yourself and your siblings, write down pertinent information such as city, county, state and dates of birth, death, marriage(s) of as many people as you can corral information on. Put it in any format you wish and e-mail it to me. Work back as far as possible in your dad's family and try to fill in as much information as possible. If you have some interesting stories to include, feel free to do so, I'll incorporate all of it into my database.
I'll look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Herb Gillham
