I am trying to track down a story that King Gillette (inventor of the razor) gave thousands of razors to soldiers in WWI in France.

Any information about King Gillette in Boston or Europe would be much apprecated.

My main line of research is on the Oregon writer Opal Whiteley who knew King Gillette in Los Angeles.
