Does anyone know of a Cole Gillett marriage (New York?) taking place before 1787 that might be my ancestor. John Cole 1787-1863 named his eldest son, John Gillet Cole, so I am presuming his grandmother was a Gillet. The next son was named Farrington Ferguson Cole after John's wife's father. There is a possibility John had a sister, Betsey. Eldest daughter of John was Irena b. 1812/13 Canada. Next Majina. Sons (born in USA) were William N, Franklin, Garrett, daughters Lydia Ann and Elizabeth and my ancestor, Daniel 1840-1917 b Canada.
