there is a book abt. the desc. of Jonathan &
Mary (Dolbiar) Gillet/Gillett/Gillette, a
French Huguenot fam., author: Wilma Gillet
Thomas. Lib./Cong/#76-99025. It has a hist. going back to 1572 with a Jacques de Gylet, who went to Scot.. Some went later toEng, then America by 1630. Perhaps you can trace your fam thru book. My line comes thru Experience Gillet who m. Lennerd Owen abt 1750 in CT. Also look on www.familysearch.org for your Gillet surname.
there is info in the AF sec. Good luck!
