Alfred Glispie is a brick wall for me. I have found him listed on the 1850 Putnam County WV census in the household of Sarah Gillaspie, age 40 but no husband for Sarah.

None of the other censuses have Sarah's husband listed. I have found a name "Tally" which could be a nickname, but otherwise nothing. Our other family researcher found the name CC Gillespie, but I haven't found that name or those initials anywhere on censuses for the area.
I am a decendant of Alfred and Elizabeth Perry through their daughter Daisy Glispie who married Alvis Spry. Some of these Gillespies (they spelled it Glispie) migrated to Boyne Falls, Charlevoix Michigan if anyone is lost.
