Hi V.G,
Thank you for your message. I'm not sure how or where our Gillards may be connected as I have got no further than my gggrandfather who was named John Thomas Gillard (b.c1872)in Kingsbridge, Devon. He had a brother called William, who may have emmigrated to Canada with his wife Edith, and a sister called Alice who married a Dr. Bremner. I have hit a brick wall when it comes to their parents. Sad thing is I had notes regarding them but my pc crashed taking everything with it. :-{.
I was wondering if your husband's ancestor, William, was a sibling/uncle of my ggggrandfather who I have yet to search out. Please keep in touch with any information and I shall do likewise. I do know that my ggggrandfather resided in Bristol, Gloucestershire, before moving to Kingsbridge in Devon,
Look forward to hearing from you again soon.
Regards
Julie.
