This might be your family- Richard Gillam b. 1849 Hove to John Gillam b. 1812 c. Countess of Huntingdon's Dissenting church in Brighton, Sussex married Sarah Ellen Worsfield b. 1817 West Grinstead, SSX to Henry and Elizabeth Worsfield ( Henry a wheelwright)
John and Sarah married 1843 Brighton- his second marriage ( first to Jane Hunter) John Gillam a labourer/ fisherman.
Your Richard married Maria J. Ramsden 1867 and had 7 children.
