Dear Gary - I haven't read her book, but have heard others reference it.
Just guessing that at present, you have a #4
Erasmus GILL in Bourbon Co.
The one born 1794 is "Probably" the son of Rev. War Capt. Samuel GILL and his wife Ruth Vanmeter GILL.This Erasmus GILL lived until 1844 - 1845 in Ky., as he administered estate of his parents until then.
I believe the Rev. War Land claim was to the Erasmus GILL in Dinwiddie Co., Va. who married Sarah Newsum/Newsome.
But they are just my assumptions, based on how I have understood deeds, war records, bible records and other stories.
Did your Erasmus GILL d. 1833 (Cholera) widow remarry? Did you write the Bourbon Co. Ct. Clerk for a copy of the GILL Will or Deed Book Index? That would be the place I would start anyway. So good luck.
