The name of James GILKEY has been found on a Harth Roll list dated 1665 (which pre-dates James Gilkey of Gorham, ME by about 45 years). Could this have been his Father??
James GILKEY ...."of Letter", (is that a township in Co. Donegal?) Fawthen Parish, Donegal, Ireland 1665.
That's all it says.
