It would certainly be interesting to have a Gilfillian get together. I, too, have wondered about the origins of my family. If you've been reading answers at the Gilfillan Forum, you would have seen the origins of the name. But even more interesting to me would be the origins of my great grand parents and their parents. My grandfather (deceased) told me his parents were from Scotland, and by everything on the net, the origins of the name, at least, we know that to be true. I'm a Gilfillian from Jamaica. There are many of us in a small section of Jamaica, where they've lived and interbred for at least the last 150 years. No history, but a glimpse of another Gilfillian. It is a proud name.
