Hi Suzy:
Thanks so much for answering my post.
Unfortunately, this is a case of "close, but no cigar."
Since my post I have found out that my G-GGrandfather was John D. Terhune (not sure what the D. stands for.)
I am fairly sure he was born in 1859 (That is where I connected to Jacob and Mary) and I know he died in 1893 in South River, Burlington, New Jersey. He is buried in Maple Grove Park Cemetery (FLY New York Cem.) in Hackensack.
He married Sarah M. Westervelt in 1881 and had three surviving issue, Mable, Catherine(SP?) and Hazel.
Catherine married Salvatore Ciampo. So there. Myfather is William W. Ciampo. There were 10 siblings.
I have a vague reference to some connection (possibly) to David and Ursula (Earle) Terhune of Hackensack but nothing I can verify at this time. I have sent to Trenton for the record of death of John D. to see if there is any mention of parents. I live in UpState New York so getting time to snoop in Bergen is limited.
I have amassed some Terhune information so you are welcome to anything I have that may be of interest to you.
What are you looking for?
Wes Ciampo
