Hi Jane, I am assuming we are talking about the same Elizabeth Gilfillan and Philip Quiggle/Quiggley. but my dates differ from yours. I will elaborate in an email, if I can make out your address. Elizabeth Gilfillan , b. about 1774, possibly in Ireland or Greenwood Twp. Perry, Co, Pa. married Philip Quiggle/Quiggley about 1799. She and Philip and possibly a child or so moved to Trumbull, Ohio soon after. Betsy, or Elizabeth died sometime after 1804 and before 1845. Philip Quiggle served in the War of 1812 and remarried to Rebecca Gilfillan McCully, sister of Elizabeth and widow of William McCully. Philip died in 1849 in Hambden Twp. Geauga, Oh. Rebecca died in 1870. They are buried in Hambden Cem. Elizabeth's burial is unknown to me.
Elizabeth was the daughter of James Gilfillan and Nancy Watts. James Gilfillan was my 4th g grandfather. I have a lot more info on this and will contact you.
