Thanks for your response! Looks like we have the same family here! I do have some info on his wife's family and some on the Gilders, as follows:
Senate Guilder/Gilder, b. 1829 married 1848 Twiggs Co, GA, Cassandra A. (Ann?) Bridger b. 22 Apr 1832, Twiggs Co, GA. This according to Bridger Family Bible in possession of cousin in AL, Cassa died Nov 1874 (location not recorded).
Cassandra was the daughter of Bartlett Bridger, b. 1795, NC and Mary, b. 1795, NC. Bartlett came into Georgia ca. from Wayne Co, NC, 1818 and remained in Twiggs county until mid 1840, then moved into neighboring county of Pulaski, where he remained until his death 9 Jan 1854 (Thyphoid Fever).
Isaac Gilder, Rev. War Soldier (fife and drummer in Capt. John Ingle's Company of 2nd Reg. of North Carolina)received bounty land grant in 1820 GA Land Lottery as a resident of Twiggs Co, GA and as a Rev. War Soldier, died ca. 1840 and is buried in Jeffersonville, GA, Prospect Methodist Church Cemetery. Not proven: Wife's name: Elizabeth.
Isaac and Elizabeth had children:
1. Senate Gilder married Eleanor
Senate Gilder (d. before 1840) and Eleanor children:
1. Isaac Gilder, b. ca. 1813
2. W. I. Gilder, b. 1820
3. John Gilder, born 1820-1830
4. Senate J. Gilder, b. 1829 Twiggs Co, GA
Altho I have been doing genealogy for many years, I just started working on trying to find Cassandra and Senate. I do not have much info on the Gilders since I have just began working on this line. Will gladly share whatever I have and work with you on trying to piece together the family members.
I would appreciate any info you can give me on Senate J. Gilder, his wife, and descendants at your convenience.
