Hi,
I am not researching the Gilcreases, but the Kilcreases (or Killcrease), tied to Daniel Green Kilcrease and daughter Emma Eugenia (my GM). They and several others were in Cooke Co. Tx., in late 1880's to early 1900's. Thought to have come from Hines (Hinds) Co., Mississippi in 1880. Daniel died near Joy, Clay County, TX in 1931. Dan's wife, Emma Simmons, died in Queen City TX 3 days after arriving in TX. Dan later married Margaret Skaggs. Are these the ones you are seeking?

For what it is worth, I have found Gil-, Kil-, and Kill- spellings in the same family in census roles!
