Hi Valerie Typo in my website address! Remove the / between frodo and 18, and you'll be there! One day I might get round to posting it on Ancestry as well...! Fanny Collings' name I originally got from a book called "The Letter Books of W Gilbertson & Co Ltd Pontadawe 1890-1929" from the West Glam. Archives Service, which is mainly very dull company information about the Gilbertson's Tinplate works in Pontardawe, but does have a bit of family info in the front. I have little, and conflicting, information her family; in "Letter Books..." her father is named as Robert and it describes him as a "Kings Messenger & Merchant from London". Jill Guinness' information names him as James, a "Horsehair Manufacturer" from London (this ties in with a bapt record on the IGI). Walford's "County Families..." also names him as Robert. One day, we'll sort it out I hope!! There is a marriage entry in the IGI for RCG to Anne Mason, dated 14th Oct 1834, in Burton on Trent, Staffs. While I'm here, you might be interested to know that the Victoria County History on Staffs has a brief mention of RCG and his father in law, at http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.asp?compid=12335 Best Wishes Dave Notify Administrator about this message?
