While going thru an old roll-top desk that we have I found a few receipts for a Helen Newman living on Bonnie St. in Pasadena, CA. These were from 1940's. If this is anyone's ancestor I'd be glad to mail them to you.
1. City of Pasadena Light bill
2. The Pasadena Star News (which is still around!)/Pasadena Post
3. Two receipts from a Mattie W. Samuels to Helen Gilbert (both in 1942) and Mrs. Newman for $25 each (maybe rent?). I assume Gilbert and Newman are the same person??
Might even be more, these were inside one of the ledges. If anyone replies and is interested I'll keep looking.
The bill receipts have the full address she was living at.
