I just came across this will so posted it. I descend from a Gilbert born 1814 in Missouri, and this is a genealogical act of kindness...not something I am researching although I have came across tons of Gilberts in Ga. everywhere. The original James Lamar was born in Edgefield Dist./Richmond Co., Ga. area-which is across river from each other, Edgefield being in SC. He died in Greene Co., Ga. but don't recall a Gilbert with James Lamar's family but he was a famous RS.
