Looking for information on Gilbert family that moved from Jones County North Carolina to Sumter County Alabama about 1830s, William Gilbert m,
Susannah McDaniel from NC. Sons William, John M., Henry TD (died in war),
Daughters Mary E. and Susan A. All Children born in NC. Listed in Census
for Sumter Co 1840 & 1850.
Also who was Williams parents, could it be John son of Jesse Gilbert and Sarah
Green,
