good morning,i am tracing my family roots.my grandfather is h.j.roberson[robinson]who said he was born 9-26-1900 in texas or arkansas.he passed away 2-19-1996 here in los angeles.my grandmother is mary richardson roberson[robinson].she was born 4-23-1900 in atlanta,texas.she passed away 3-23-1998 here in los angeles.they had four children geraldine born 2-13-1921,h.j.[buster]roberson,jr.born 10-19-1923,leo,sr.and cleo born 9-5-27-all in atlanta,texas in cass[davis]county.i am the yougest son of cleo robinson.my name is muhammad abdullah born michael jones robinson 12-16-51 in san diego,calif.my grandfather was the son of robert robinson who was born either in texas or arkansas.he died by 1910 in hot springs, or little rock,ark.my grandfather did not know his grandparents on his fsather's side of the family.my grandfather's mother was viney robinson.her maiden name was williams.she was born in texas.she remarried to lee hairston[harlston].viney passed away in 1943 in rusk,texas.her mother was belle williams.my grandmother mary richardson was the daughter of john richardson and everline oliver.john richardson was born 2-2-1871 in douglassville,texas and he passed away 7-15-1939 in atlanta,texas.everline oliver was born in 1874 in douglassville,texas.she passed away in 1921 in atlanta,texas.everline oliver was the daughter of barnes[bonds]oliver and hagar campbell.barnes oliver said he came from africa as a boy to gal'weston,[galveston]texas.he passed away in 1937 in atlanta,texas.there is no knowledge of his parents from our oral traditions.hagar campbell was the daughter of andrew and becky[rebeccah]campbell.they all passed away in atlanta,texas.john richardson was the son of miles richardson.miles said on the 1867 voter registration of davis county,texas that he came to texas in 1856 from georgia.on the 1870 census of davis county on page 64,miles is listed with his family and next door are his parents charles and sookie richardson.as well as their other son julius and his family.mrs.p.d.nixon from salt lake city,utah a few years ago assisted me with my research and from this same information she concluded that drury[drewery]gilbert of upson county,georgia was the slaveowner of my family.my grandfather use to tell me to look up the swints of cass county,texas because he had heard as a boy that the swints were one of the largest slaveholding families in cass county,texas. i came across a book on elijah muhammad by professor clegg and in his book he had the slaveowner of elijah muhammad's family in his book and his genealogy.middleton pool was the slaveowner and middleton pool had a daughter named jane pool and she married john swint from cass[davis]county,texas.middleton pool came from washington county,georgia.i also saw where drury[drewery]gilbert had lived in washington county,georgia.also in the probate records of middleton pool he had female slaves and two were named hannah and fanny.my great great grandmother was fanny cary who was married to miles richardson.i was wondering if middleton pool and drury gilbert had any business dealings together?as both were slaveowners.any assistance in this matter if you could assist me with i would greatly appreciate it.thank you-muhammad abdullah-p.o.box 338,compton,ca.90221
