Hi! my name is Alejandra Nunez Gil (Mexico), my mother is Carmen Gil Rodriguez (born and raised in New York). My grandfather was Jose Gil, he was born in the Basque country in Spain around the enn of the 1800's, he went to Puerto Rico for a while and lived in Mexico for a short period, then got married in Spain to Angelita Rodriguez and moved to New York around 1920's. He had 7 children. As a matter of fact one of my uncles is named Eduardo Gil. Although my grandfather died around 1972, most of his children and grandchildren still live in New York. My mom came down to Mexico and married and settled down here.
