Hi Pat,

I know all about brick walls. It took me 10 years to find my Pierre Giguere and for 8 years I could only trace my Boudreau line to St. Anne, Illinois. Then, someone found a baptistmal record for my Boudreau ancestor I was looking for, now, I can trace my line back to the 1600s.

The spelling of Giguere and Lirette must not been transcribe correctly by the priest for their baptismal and marriage record, but I did fine one record.

I have found that my ancestors have quite often have more then one name. So, you never know what you will find. Even the birth dates can be wrong on their T-stones. How many of our ancestors carried a copy of their baptismal record. Also, I found ancestors go by their did names. I think that our ancestors are having fun playing games with us.

I hope this is your Luce Lirette....

I found Luce Lirette's interment in the Drouin records:
Year: 1866
Place: St-Amie-de-Richelieu
Date: November 1866
Husband: Louis Giguere

I don't know if you have to copy and paste the e-mail address or not
