Hello - I am also a Giggey researcher. There appear to have been a John Giggey, James E. Giggey, and a James Giggey all living in Kingston in the 1840's. I'm looking for James Giggey (no middle initial), and only have his marriage (in Saint John) and the birth of 3 of his children at Trinity Anglican in Kingston. Haven't been able to get farther back. By the way, I have found the name Giggey by many various spellings in Scotland. I hadn't heard of the French Hugenot connection. Please e-mail me directly if you are interested in sharing information.
