Actually his surname was GYGER (changed from his father's surname spelling of GEIGER).

Geoge GYGER's descendants kept the GYGER spelling--except for the branches that changed the spelling to GIAGER, GIGAR, GUYGER.

Their marriage record in Jefferson County, Tennessee:

GIGER, George marr. HENDERSON, Bitha on 30-JAN-1804

Tabitha died May 22, 1850 and is buried in the Jolly Cemetery, Bono (about 10 miles east of Mitchell), Lawrence County, Indiana with her husband who died October 8, 1830.

Her gravestone reads: May 22, 1850, 66 years

Following is from the AIS mortality index:
Year: 1850
Age: 65
Month of Death: MAY
State of Birth: TN
Cause of Death: FRACTURE
Occupation: NONE LISTED
ID#: MRT197_130488

My notes state that some researchers believe Tabitha's surname was HENRICKS.

Tabitha and George Gyger had 13 children that I can identify--and zillions of descendants.
