Nancy,
I have read some of the posts about a Hugh in Ireland. I am sorry this is not the same Hugh. My Hugh is the son of George and Mary Milligan/Giffen. He was born in the U.S. I have calculated his birth from his grave stone and census records. One census puts his birth at 1816 and also his stone at High Ridge Cemetery in Belmont County Oh. Also the Giffen Blue Book gives his dob as 1816. He married Jane Feeley and had four children; Mary Jane, Elizabeth Armina, Nancy (Minna?) and James. I am trying to locate the death certificate and burial of Nancy, at the moment. Since this post I finally located James' 1852-1937 also buried at High Ridge. Thank you so much for your reply, I wish I could have been more helpful. If you would like more information, let me know.
Jenni
