Lucille, "Long shot in process..." I am just starting research on the "Gieson" aka "Giesen" aka "Van Giesen" branch of my family. They are also from Essex Co., NJ, (actually from Orange,NJ.) My GGG Grandfether "John Giesen" was born abt 1828 and married a "Francesca Joanna ?" His son, John changed the spelling of the family name to "GiesOn". no reason given. If u see anything please respond. In the meantime I will try to expand my knowledge of this branch of my family. Dave O'Connell
