I have seen a number of your posts about the Ray family from Virginia and Georgia in the late 1700's and the early 1800's. My ancestor was Solomon Ray who married Jane Echols in Wilkes co Ga in 1796. Lewis Hammock was a witness at their marriage. I am trying to find who Solomon Ray's parents were. Would you know. Some researcher say Sanders Ray from Amelia co Virginia and some researcher say a George Ray. I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ross
