I have just finished writing a book about the history of Gidleigh in Devon England which lists all the houses in the Village and mentions most of the families who lived here from the mid 17th century. Bartholemew Gidley bought the castle and estate in the 1660's and if any Gidleys connected to this part of the world would like a copy of the book please get in touch.
