Hi Barbara,
I also have Gidley ancestors from Buckfastleigh. My earliest was Henry who married Margaret Gray on 5 Feb 1600 & I am descended from their son William. I have tried to see where Othniell fits in but so far can't find a link to mine. However, I'm sure there is one. Have you any ideas?
