Howard was preceded by his parents, Ada Lenora and Roy Wilfred Gidley, by sisters, Wilma Redieck and Freida Gidley and by brothers, Wilfred, Marvin and Ellwood Gidley; survivors include his brothers, Clarence "Chick" and Robert Gidley, nieces and nephews.
