Thomas Giddens, b. c1805 in NC is in the Muscogee Co. GA 1850 Census, married in 1845 in Harris Co. GA to Mary Ann Cartledge b 1824 from Columbia Co. GA. They have children Francis (1844), Jane (1845) and Virginia (1848). Thomas is lot older than Mary and was probably married before. There is a George W. Giddens (1835) with them. There's also an older couple, Bazil Giddens (1776) and Sarah Giddens (1783) from MD who may be Thomas' parents.
Will of Mary Davis Blanchard, died 1846 in Columbia Co. GA, mentions a grandson named George Giddens. Could there be a connection here?
Can't find Thomas or Mary Giddens or children after 1850. Does anyone have knowledge of these people?
