The Edward Giddens I am looking for was in Wilkes Co NC from 1796 to 1802. The Edward Giddens after that date was probably the son of James Giddens who moved to Hawkins Co Tenn about 1812-1820. The Edward Giddens family looks like a father and son, also named Edward. The older Edward may have died inn Wilkes about that time as there are two "single" Giddens women who are mentioned suggesting widowhood. That of course would leave Edward the younger. Edward the youngerwas probably 18-20 as he was listed as 1 poll no land.
