Emily, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I don't know any counties but family legend says we might have come from North Carolina and since Steven Page reported that his ancestor, John Giddens, came from Wayne Country, N.C. during this period of time, maybe we did too? Steven also said there was a Giddensville, NC, but I'm not sure where that is located...
Since my first note to you, I have received new information on Isaac Giddens. Actually, his
name was Thomas Isaac Giddens, whose father was Jacob Giddens who may have been
born in North Carolina on September 18, 1794 and who died December 7, 1873. Do you
have this Jacob Giddens in your records? Thanks again for taking time away from your
writing. I am attaching the names and dates of my line as readjusted since I last wrote:
