In the Name of God Amen I Roger Gibson og the State of South Carolina Planter being Sound in Mind and Memory (Blefsed be God for the same) do make and Publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)First I give to Alexander Smith one Year old Horse of the English Breed with all my wearing Apperrel also I give to my Sister Jane Smith One Black Mare and Colt also I give to the following Children of Isaac Rofs Deceased by his Wife Mary (my Sister) that is to say to Elisabeth Rofs One Mare and Colt named Fancy, to Jane Rofs One Bay Mare and Colt also to Mary Rofs one Old Mare and ColtI Also give to Isaac Rofs one Sorral Horse Named Starling I give to Euphamy Rofs one young Cow and Claf also I give to my Mother Mary Gibson that Plantation or Tract of Land whereon she now lives with all and Singular the Houses Outhouses Edifices Buildings Shades Barns Stables Orchards Gardens Vca with all the Plantation Tools with the remainder of the Stock which she is to have during her Natural life and after her Deceise I do Order and hearby give the aforesaid Plantation or Track of Land unto the above mentioned Isaac Rofs (my Sisters Son) with all an dSingular the Houses Buildings Orchards Gardains Waters Timber and Timber Trees and all & every Profit and Priviledge as is Spacified in the Indenter of the said Track or parsle of Land to him his Heirs and Afsigns----and I make and Appint my Mother Mary Gibson to be Executrex of this my Last Will and Testament & to take upon her the Charge and Trouble heareof and to see the same performed according to my true intent and meaning & Lastly I do heareby declare this only to be my Last Will and Testament.In Witnefs whereof I the Said Roger Gibson have hereunto set my hand & Seal the Ninth day of July in the Year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seveny eight----
